Diagnosis List

The diagnosis list is the place to manage the different diagnoses that can be selected for an evaluation or case record.

The diagnosis list grid is similar to the patient list grid. It can be sorted or searched by each column visible on the screen. For more information, see Grids under Common Program Features. The window can also be maximized to show a larger list with all columns visible.

Enter the "Description", "ICD9 Code", and "Visits Expected" for the diagnosis. Select a "Category" that the diagnosis belongs to. QuickEMR comes with the categories of ankle, knee, shoulder, spine, and hand. More categories can be added if needed through the Master Lists screen.

If a disgnosis is marked as "Inactive" will no longer appear in drop down lists in the program.

Templates for Care Plan problems and Goals can also be created on this screen. When these templates are created for a particular diagnosis and a Care Plan is being entered for a case, the user will have the option to click a button and load the templates from this screen instead of maually entering problems and goals. Problems and Goals on this screen can be entered by:

The Common Measurements and Common Charges & Exercises are currently not being used.

Along with the templates for problems and goals, protocols can also be entered for each diagnosis in the system.

protocols

To enter protocols, simply select a tab and begin typing. Carriage returns can be used in these text fields to help keep things aligned and for lists that might be needed.

To print a protocol, select the tab to bring it to the foreground and click the "Print" button that is located on that protocol's tab (right hand side of the screen).

The Copy Protocols and Paste Protocols works in the same manner that the copy and paste feature does for the problems and goals. This copy and paste feature will copy and paste ALL of the protocols for a diagnosis.
