Installation

 

*** If you will be installing QuickEMR on multiple pc's on a network, install on the "server" or "main" computer first!!! ***

To install QuickEMR, download the file http://www.quickemr.com/install/qemrinstall.exe. This is a self-extracting file that contains the necessary installation files. Please note the location to where the file is being downladed.

Once the file has been downloaded, launch the program by either:

    A. Choose the "Open" or "Run" dialog button from the browser window

    B. Browse to the file through Windows Explorer and double-click on it

    C. Click Start->Run and type in the location of the file (ie - C:\my documents\qemrinstall.exe)

When the self-extrating program starts, select the Install button as noted in Fig. 1. This will extract the installation files to the default c:\qemrinstall folder.

When the files are done being extracted, the QuickEMR Setup Wizard will start automatically provided that files were extracted to the c:\qemrinstall folder. Select the "Next" button as shown in Fig. 2.

The next screen (Fig 3) shows the license agreement. Please read the agreement, select "I Agree", and then select the "Next" button.

The screen below (Fig 4) allows you to select the installation folder for the QuickEMR program. The default folder is c:\program files\quickemr. Leave this folder as is unless it is necessary to install the program to a different hard drive location. Click the "Next" button to contiune.

Click the "Next" button to start the installation (Fig 5)

The QuickEMR program will begin installing to the pc (Fig 6).

Once all of the files have been copied, click the "Close" button (Fig 7).

When installation is complete, there should be an icon on the desktop as shown below.
