Network Setup

When installing QuickEMR on any other computer other than the "server" or "main" computer, follow the installation instructions as normal. When launching the program for the first time, select the "Network Setup" option on the "First Run" screen as shown below.

After selecting Network Setup, the screen to the right will appear.

Select the "Browse" button for the Practices database location. The Windows Open dialog box will appear below.

QuickEMR needs to be made aware of where the practices.mdb file resides on the network.

Double-Click on "My Network Places" on the left hand side of the window.

You should see a share name like the one to the right. "David" will be replaced by the name of the computer on your network that is sharing the QuickEMR folder. Double-click on this share name.

Double-Click on the "Data" folder.

 

 

 

 

 

Double-click on the Practices.mdb file.

 

 

The Network Setup dialog box will appear again. The "Start Data Location" will be set automatically.

Select the "Save" button to continue.

The Login screen will appear.
