Starting the Program

To start the QuickEMR program, double-click on the icon on the desktop. On the first startup of the program, you will see a screen similar to the one below (Fig 1):

If this is the first pc the program is being installed on, select the "Register" button if you have a registration number from your reseller. If you do not have a registration number and simply want to run the demonstration version, select the "Demo" button. Selecting the demo button will send you to the login screen.

If this is the second or greater computer you have installed QuickEMR on, select the "Network Setup" option and follow the steps for Network Setup.

 

Registering the Program

 

When registering the software, the screen below will appear (Fig 2)

Registration Number - number assigned by your reseller Practice Name - name of your practice Your Name - your name Address, City, State, Zip- address of your practice E-Mail - email address of main contact at your practice Proxy Server - This is for any organization that uses a proxy server to access the internet. In most cases, this will be left blank. If you are unsure, leave it blank and if registration does not work, contact your system administrator to obtain the name of your proxy server.   When all of the information has been filled in, select the "Submit" button.

After successful registration, the login screen will appear. Installation is now complete on this pc. If you are installing the program on another computer, follow the installation steps. When you launch the program on the next pc, select the "Network Setup" option on the "First Run" screen and follow the instructions for Network Setup.
