Tools - Import Data

This screen will allow you to import data from a few different systems. A user must be logged in as an Administrator to access this area.

*** This is a step that is usually only performed ONCE!!! Importing data more than once, although there are checks in place for duplicate data, can produce undesirable results. When in doubt, please contact us for assistance with this feature!!

 

QuickEMR can import data from Altapoint, Medisoft, our older PDS system, and from WritePad. In order to import data from Altapoint or Medisoft, billing options must be set to one of these two systems accordingly.

• Physicians, Insurance Companies, Diagnosis Codes, and Patients can be imported from Altapoint.
• When importing diagnosis codes, there will be an option to only import the "Short List" instead of the entire diagnosis codes list from Altapoint.
• When importing patients, cases will automatically be created for each patient.

• The Medisoft tab can be used to import physicians, insurance companies, diagnosis codes, referral sources, facilities, patients and cases, and billing codes.
• When importing billing codes, the screen below will appear. Each billing code that is imported must be placed in a category in the QuickEMR system.

 

The PDS tab and the Other Tab each containg one button only. The PDS tab will launch a separate program to import data from the PDS database.

The Other Data tab contains a button to simply import the patient data from the WritePad system. You will need to export the patient data from WritePad to a file and then point to that file from QuickEMR to import it.
